We went to Grand Forks, North Dakota on November 8, 2003. We brought a camera with us, however, they would not allow cameras into the arena. It was approximately 4 degrees outside with the wind chill factor and we did not want to deal with taking the camera back to the car.

We were able to get a tour backstage before the concert. We were also able to bring a couple of cameras into the Target Center. We took these pictures from the second row.

We were getting a tour of the arena before the doors opened. The place was completely empty when Paul and Tommy came out on stage to do their sound check. We stood in the front row and watched them as they did their sound check. The quality of these pictures are not good. We were using disposable cameras and there were not many stage lights on since it was only their sound check. Paul and Tommy were on the stage. Gene's guitar tech was playing Gene's bass and Peter's drum tech was playing his drums.
They started by just strumming a few cords, then they played the entire song "Hotter Than Hell." It was incredible to see Paul on stage without makeup and wearing jeans playing Hotter Than Hell. Paul and Tommy both walked toward the end of the stage and said hi to us. Tommy threw us one of his guitar picks. After Hotter Than Hell, they both walked to all ends of the stage, checking all of the microphones and equipment. Paul walked to the end of the catwalk while he strummed his guitar.
After they inspected the stage, then they played the entire song, "Deuce." It was very interesting to hear Paul sing Gene's portions of that song. Sitting in the front row of that arena and watching Paul and Tommy play those songs was incredible. We wish the pictures would have came out better, because we were so close to them while they joked around and played those songs. You do not get that opportunity to often, if ever, and it was incredible. Paul and Tommy, thanks for letting us stay and watch that sound check.
